In the Sound of Silence

I know. I know.

I've been super quiet since starting this site. In my defense, I've had a lot going on.

What's going on, you ask? Well, I moved into my new rental house in sunny, humid, swamp-ass filled state of Florida. I live about five minutes away from my parents which is extremely helpful. I've started a new relationship with an amazing man. My kids are getting settled in to the new house and school. All the while juggling the struggles of life.

What does this mean for my writing? It means it's stalled, to be honest. I haven't written in a few weeks. I'm like a crack addict itching her skin, dying for my next fix, but the needles dry. My brain is too focused on real life and all the drama I have going on, that I can't focus on the drama I write. LOL

Shadow of Twilight is still with my editor. We are working away at it and still hope to publish by mid-January. I'll have a specific date set in the coming weeks. Book 2: Dusk to Dawn is two-thirds of the way written. I finally got over the hump that is Amelia's trauma and to more of the positive things in her life, which is honestly like a weight off my shoulders. But, I still have tons more to get through. I also need to get my ass in gear and finish plotting out Book 3: Dawn of Light.

Prince of Blood is stalled as well. I've hit a wall with it and have decided to focus on finishing Dusk to Dawn before I get back to writing it.

December 4th is just a few days away. If you don't know the significance of that day then I am here to tell you. The Watty's Awards will be announced. I did put Shadow of Twilight in for the paranormal genre. I'm honestly not sure how I feel about it, so we shall see what's up with that in a few days.

My birthday is tomorrow. Yep. Last year in my twenities.

So much has gone on for me these last nine years. Life is certainly a roller coaster. It has it's ups and downs, twists and turns, but no matter what, no matter what life throws at us, it's how we react to a situation that defines us.

Our dreams matter. Our hopes matter. And our happiness most certainly matters.

PS I will open preorders for signed copies of Shadow of Twilight beginning early January. They won't ship until the end of January since I do have to order them, they need to be printed and shipped to me. But I will be sure to keep you all updated.

Thank you all so much my loves! Thank you for your support and love <3

Here's a shot of my new office <3 I am so thrilled with it!

Do you see any of your favorite books on my shelf?
